Broomwood’s inaugural Colour Fun Run on Saturday was a spectacular success, bringing together our wonderful community for a day of fun, laughter, and fundraising. Superbly organised by the Parents’ Association, the event was a vibrant celebration of colour, energy, and generosity, all in support of The Royal Trinity Hospice.
We were delighted to welcome an incredible 460 runners across different age groups, each making their way through a course filled with bursts of colour. As they ran, bright clouds of coloured powder were thrown into the air, creating a truly breathtaking spectacle. A special mention goes to our brave colour-throwers—dedicated parents who ended up head-to-toe in a rainbow of shades!
A huge thank you to Chelwood Partners Estate Agents, who not only sponsored the event but also provided a fantastic bar, giving families the perfect space to gather, relax, and celebrate after the run. A reminder to parents: Chelwood Partners will donate 10% of their fee to The Royal Trinity Hospice if you choose to sell or let your property through them—a wonderful way to continue supporting this amazing cause.
Thanks to everyone’s enthusiasm and generosity, we raised an impressive £1,900 for The Royal Trinity Hospice, a vital local charity providing compassionate care and support to those in need.
It was fantastic to see so many Broomwood staff coming along to support, including Heads Mr Hodge, Mrs McCafferty, and Mrs Mackay, as well as countless parents who both participated and cheered on their children and helped make the event so special.
A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who gave their time and energy to ensure the day ran smoothly—the bar staff, paint throwers, first aiders (happily not needed!), the registration team, sweet stall helpers, and, of course, Mr Billingham for leading the warm-up!
With such an incredible day behind us, we now look forward to our upcoming Quiz Night and the much-anticipated Summer Soirée in June—two more wonderful opportunities to come together as a community and celebrate all that makes Broomwood so special.
