Our aim at Broomwood is to prepare and equip every pupil for their next school at either 11+ or 13+. We are academically ambitious and ensure that children go to the school that is right for them. Broomwood pupils move on to a huge variety of schools, including London day schools, boarding schools, co-ed and single sex.

We guide parents through the admissions process, ensuring that they choose a school which aligns to their own values and approach and which works for the child and family.

We have excellent and long standing relationships with all the top schools, who regularly attend Broomwood events. We also hold a Future Schools’ Evening at which our parents can meet the registrars and admissions teams.

In 2024 our Broomwood girls and boys achieved remarkable results at 11 + and 13+. 103 leavers secured 42 scholarships between them. Over half of these were academic awards and the rest were split between drama, sport, music and art.

Early acceptance

If a family decides their child will not sit entrance tests, we are usually able to confirm acceptance to a Dukes senior school in Year 5 or 7. Early acceptance offers families peace of mind, allowing children to enjoy their final years at prep school and focus on a positive transition to senior school.

After completing GCSEs, students can move on to LPS Sixth, a sixth form centre located near Victoria station.

Hampton Court House is an independent co-educational school and sixth form. The school is situated in its own private parkland, a 30-to-40-minute drive from central London. At HCH, we lay the foundations of a lifelong love of learning. Children are offered the best of both worlds – they are emotionally supported and encouraged to work hard. The result of being raised at HCH means they will not only do better, they will be better people. All children are prepared for 13+ and while some go on to leading day and boarding schools, most choose to stay with us for their GCSE and A Level years.
